WARRIOR ATHLETIC FIELD

Warrior Athletic Field was built in 2005 for men’s and women’s soccer. The field is one of the few fields in the NAIA that are situated with goals facing east/west. Men’s and women’s lacrosse were added to the Warrior athletic sports lineup in 2009 and began using the field for home games in their inaugural season in 2010. In November, 2009, the men’s soccer team played host to Davenport University in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) tournament final. The Warriors defeated the Panthers 2-0 to take the WHAC championship and advance to the NAIA National Tournament. In 2013, the field was opened up for soccer and lacrosse practices in favorable weather and field conditions. In the summer of 2016, Indiana Tech replaced the natural grass surface with an artificial turf, allowing the Warrior athletic teams to practice and play on the field in all conditions and seasons while opening up new opportunities for intramural, club teams and community involvement.
